Book Turned TV Series
So what exactly was it that drew Natalie Portman to the little screen? The two joined ways to adapt Karen Joy Fowler’s critically acclaimed novel “We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves”, which was also shortlisted for the 2014 Man Booker prize.
Portman is screened to play college student Rosemary Cooke whose “twin sister” — actually a chimpanzee — disappeared when she was five years old, while Kauffman is on board as executive producer for the HBO series. We are All Completely Beside Ourselves will also be produced by Kauffman’s Okay Goodnight production company.
Christopher Monger is lined up to write the on screen adaptation while Gideon Raff, co-creator of Homeland, will also act as executive producer on the project.
Marta Kauffman will also be receiving the 2016 Outstanding Television Writer award at the 23rd annual Austin Film Festival & Screenwriters Conference this fall.
We still don’t know the exact release date, but stay tuned!
