This serial is a splendid adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel. Elizabeth Bennet is a sensible woman with a strong spirit. Her father is a modest man and his uncle a businessman in Cheapside. Her mother is a fine woman, a little too eager to marry all her daughters with wealthy men. Elizabeth has four other sisters: Jane, her older sister who falls in love with Mr. Bingley, Lydia, her younger sister who flirts almost with anyone who wears a uniform, Mary, Kitty and Lizzie, who is bewitched by Mr. Wickham’s charm while trying to gently reject Mr. Collins. Elizabeth herself meets Mr. Darcy, at first sight quite arrogant, rude and cold, but as all the masks are dropped, all the pride and prejudice, everything is not what it seems at first glance. It is considered a great success with wonderful critics.
Genre: Action, Drama and Adventure
Number 3 is The Pacific. A HBO production, the serial is a companion piece to “Band of Brothers” that aired from 14 to 16 of May 2010. It has an 8,3 rating from 38,181 users.
The action is set in World War II and follows the U.S. Marine Corps squad and their hard life on foreign territory. Intertwining with the action of the war is the sensible side of their relationship as brothers, the shame and the guilt they feel when they are called home and the wishful thoughts sent to those still there. It was well received by critics, having a score of 87 on Metacritic.

Band of Brothers
Genre: Drama, Action and History
Number 1 is Band of Brothers. Based on Stephen E. Ambrose’s book with the same title, the serial is a ten hours/eleven parts World War II production that originally broadcasted on HBO from September 9th to November 4th 2001. It has a 9,6 rating from an incredible number of 129,045 users.
Based on a true story, the serial follows the “Easy Company”, second battalion of 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment from their first day of training to the end of World War II. They’ve been a part of D-Day, parachuting behind enemies’ line, participated in Siege of Bastogne operation and again parachuted in the middle of a combat during Operation Market Garden. Their mental, physical and emotional struggle is the heart of this story, proving once again to us that average men can do remarkable things.
