Top 10 Best Reality TV Shows of All Time

Top Chef Cooking Show10

Top Chef

Top Chef is a cooking reality TV shows that has 10 seasons so far. It first aired in 2006 and it’s broadcasting on cable network television Bravo. In every episode (except the final) of this popular cooking show there are two challenges.

The first one is called Quickfire and the second Elimination Challenge. In Quickfire the chefs usually have 1 hour or less to complete some cooking related task, either cooking a meal or tasting it. In Elimination Challenge the chefs need to prepare some more complex dish or dishes. In the end, they gather in front of the Judge’s Table where one chef is rated with the poorest performance and is disqualified from the show.

The Voice Judges US9

The Voice

The Voice is relatively new TV show (from 2011) and already has 5 season. In this reality show there are 4 famous musicians (Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Blake Shelton) who choose and then couch singers with the hope to become popular artists. In the end, America chooses who will be worthy to win the price.

The concept of this show is very interesting because the 4 famous musicians choose the singers in blind audition. This means that the only thing those singers need to have is a great voice. In my opinion, the Voice is the best music related reality TV show at the moment.

Wipeout Box Girl8

Wipeout

Wipeout is a reality game-show that is very similar to the comically dubbed Japanese game-show MXC (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge). In this reality TV show the goal of the contestants is to pass as much obstacles as they can. This game show has 6 seasons so far and is one of the funniest reality shows out there.

Also there is a Wipeout: The Game for Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS that was released in June 2010. There are more than 30 international versions of this show, that follow the Wipeout format.

Dirty Jobs Mike Rowe on street6

Dirty Jobs is very interesting and original reality TV shows that airs on Discovery Channel with Mike Rowe as a host. This show has 8 seasons and it’s entertaining and educational.

In every episode Mike Rowe finds some jobs that are strange, disgusting and difficult to perform and tries to work with the employees. That’s something like behind the scenes of the most distasteful jobs in the world. This show is very interesting and the host is very entertaining and funny.

Pawn Star Las Vegas5

Pawn Stars

Pawn Stars is American TV show that airs on History channel. It’s filmed in Las Vegas and it has 6 seasons so far. This reality television show is about the activities of one pawn shop, which is a family business owned by father and son.

Pawn Stars is mostly about the interaction with the costumers who bring artifacts to the shop, to sell or pawn them. It’s interesting that in this pawn shop the owner does not try to rip people off or take advantage of them.

Survivor

Survivor is well known reality game show that airs on CBS in United States. In this show there is a group of strangers who are on some location (most commonly island) where they need to provide food and shelter for themselves and compete in games in order to win rewards or immunity from being excluded from the game.

The goal of Survivor is to be the only one left in the game and the winner takes 1 million dollars as a prize. The show is much more complex and if you are interested I recommend you to watch at least one season, because this is one of the best reality shows.

Gordon Ramsay Hells Kitchen3

Hell’s Kitchen

Hell’s Kitchen is the best cooking reality show at the moment with Chef Gordon Ramsay as a host. This is a cooking competition reality show which has 16-20 contestants in one season. The winner, determined by Ramsay, will be appointed as head chef in a popular and exclusive restaurant or if the winner does not wish to accept the reward, then he will get $250,000 cash prize.

Born Survivor TV Show1

Born Survivor: Bear Grylls (Man vs. Wild)

Man vs. Wild is #1 top reality show on this list. With Bear Grylls as a host, this show is interesting, entertaining and educational. In every episode, Bear Grylls goes to some remote and dangerous places on Earth and shows us how to thrive and survive there.

This reality TV show is broadcasted on Discovery channel in US and it has 7 seasons. I highly recommend it and it’s for a reason one of the best reality TV shows out there.
